I can't speculate. If I get into another mill job, that blows through mix and oil. I still have 3 gallons of orange bottle Stihl from my BIL (xmas gift) and a gal of Cam2. I shouldn't have to buy for a while.

 

Had some cherry start to die and fall on cars at work, 5 small trees (single splits). Sure smells good!

 

Some free pin oak from a tree service we picked up this morning and a load of spruce and red cedar we split this afternoon

 

Nice loads. I can smell that cedar from here. How's the finger doing?

 

Not to bad. I thought for sure if loose the nail. But I think it's gonna stay on. It looks like I have purple nail polish on that finger.

The red Ford is mostly cherry. That load is all he needs for the year. Inside wood stove.

Sure is nice having all the places you want to cut. All farm land. We cut roughly 6 cord total today, split probably 2 by hand. The red for was with the splitter. This coming sunday will retieve some more

I sure love splitting in the cold. Anything under 20* is nice, below 10* better, below 0* perfect! One whack!

I’m guessing you will still lose the nail. Smashing a finger sure does hurt, and is a definite hazard of the firewood process.

That’s a lot of work! How much do you figure you got on the trailer? Looks like some choice stuff

 

If it was stacked level in there it would be a little over a chord and a half. Thrown in and rounded rounded up a bit, I’m guessing a little over a chord. If anyone else wants to guess, trailer is
14’ long x 7’ wide with 2’ sides.

 

its 196 cubic feet neatly stacked which would be just over a cord and a half. Id say you're well over a cord in there.

 

A big load processed yesterday!

 

This pic, in my mind, represents the mentality of a firewood hoarder so well! Gotta keep throwing pieces on till they fall off.

 

3 days constantly below freezing. The ground hardened up enough for me to pull 3-8ft logs out with the truck. Cut and split some red oak. Laptop and bag was from work.

I've messed my right shoulder up and it hasn't healed in 3 months. I can run a saw and split wood but lifting rounds and throwing them forward is painful. Don't have full range of motion and it's getting weak. I have 1-2 years of wood cut, split, and stacked. 1 year bucked up and probably a 4th in stacked oak logs at the house. Still don't like being hurt enough it's affecting my wood hording.
