Finally got out into the woods for some splitting. Did a BUNCH of cutting in March, early April, but one thing lead to another and couldn't get into the wood with the splitter. This past Saturday, weather cooperated and we hit the woods... Our pile of rounds... maybe 14' long, 3' high and 3 foot deep. Mostly oak, a little maple. Some of the oak is a little past its due date, but with the price of propane what it is, Its going in the stack regardless. Did about 2 1/2 of these loads. Estimate about 2 cords worth. The ol' truck is starting to show her age. The racks.... About 2 1/2 winters worth here About 2 winters worth on these racks. The open two bays hold about 5 cords. All the uglies on the ground come from the truck when we are stacking. The uglies/shorts go over by the shop for the fire pit.
Here's the rest of my red oak score. Now don't make to much fun of the crooked cuts and different lengths. Home owner decided to help out this week while I was at work so we wouldn't have to have such a hard day. I'm sure not complaining it'll all burn. That's my cutting buddy Derek.
Good looking load. Better looking pup. I have a heeler as well. Had to get a new phone so I don't have any pics yet but I will. They sure make good helpers
