No picture of the loads, but we scrounged some Siberian Elm over the last 3 days. Nice wood. Heavy too. My son was running the splitter.
Thats some easy splitting elm there. Maybe if the The Wood Wolverine sees this he can be converted I DOUBT IT!
Load of black locust from Wednesday. Nice that all the bark was loose too. Some walnut buried in there too.
No chance. I'd take elm for my mom and dad (if I had to), I'd just noodle every single piece that needed "split". It won't come to my property any more.
A snowball has a better chance in hell, huh? There's still a PU full right down the street from me and im probably gonna grab it soon. Will this get me evicted from your sig line???
Man I love my Ford's, but that ole Dodge has hauled a many a load. Over 300,000 and still going strong. Plus I don't think my 1/2 ton would have pulled that load. Lol
Truck is loaded with red oak. Extra mass was used for extra traction to skid 2 more logs up over the back drop-off. This is the "flat" lay down area to work logs into firewood. Chain choker hooked to chain that's run through a keyhole and shackle.
This was some of the tougher elm we have had. This splitter makes everything look easy. We have taken pieces that have stalled out other splitters and it blows right through them. I think the trick is the lower "first gear" of ~1.8 gpm instead of 3.5 gpm on most pumps. It keeps (slowly) pushing without hesitation, like 4 low on a truck with a granny first.
