I'm lucky that I don't have to bring firewood home.

I don't know about cute most trucks stopped looking good in the early 2000s lol. But its convenient cause I can stuff the toy into spots in the woods the big truck won't fit.

I'm in my first taco(ma) myself after 30+ years of f 350's.
I'll not part with my old (99) f 450 in the picture, even though it's only used >500 miles a year.

I'm looking for a ranger or old 22re powered Toyota to daily. Daily driving the 350 gets old when I don't need a truck that size. The Tacoma in the picture is my FIL truck.

I move tons of splits with my Tacoma and love how I can unload it without ever getting into the bed. I don’t like how high sided modern pickup beds have gotten. I’m sure it’s a sales point for cubic feet of storage but dang can you pick anything out from the side of one?

I hear ya. My white PU that ive owned 4+ years is like that. Can barely reach anything when reaching in from the sides. My prior truck was slightly lower.

I keep a steel rake in the bed of the truck to drag stuff to the back.

I put a tarp down before I load. After I get some of the weight out I pull the tarp to the back.

20210811_141454.jpg This is how I get wood from the back of the bed to the tailgate. 20210811_133815.jpg She also stacks and files chains. Doing pretty good for 9, think I'll keep her.

    Little Tacoma load from yesterday.

Given how sore my shoulders are today, I'm not sure I would have wanted a bigger truck.
