I've used a sled to move heavy rounds over soft terrain many times (obviously works better when there is snow or ice on the ground). Just drug a 260-pound black bear out of the woods with the sled last month so 75# rounds would be no issue.
Another good day in the woods.... got about 3 more cords to cut up and all my racks will be full. about 17.5 cords in total....
16 pieces of Green red oak and I should’ve gone thru the mountain as opposed to up and over. That middle pedal was getting a bit soft till the bottom
It’s not loaded yet, but it will be soon! Been doing more and more tree work on the side, so I figured I could justify the purchase A little easier Looked at a lot of trucks over the last year+
Definitely looked at a lot of trucks to find this one! Garage/barn kept its whole life, so there’s surface rust in some spots on the dump bed, but frame and truck cab are totally rust free. Definitely has a scratch here and there, but I expect that from a nearly 30 year old truck! I think it’ll give me many years to come
Nice truck! Kinda scary how much wood you'll hoard with a truck that big Haftacut! Nothing wrong with that. Looking forward to seeing it in action. Hoard on and work safe my friend.
Sorry if this is cheating but I wanna play too, and it is seldom I load a truck with wood. It's either dropped off by my tree service buddy or I get it off my property with the tractor. Nice load of maple.
Thats cheatin! I suppose you could start a thread of tractors in action, although i think there might be one already. Nice looking hoarding tool there Chris G Welcome to the FHC Great to have you!
That’s my dream dump truck right there, nice score finding one set up like that in that condition!!! Whats it got under the hood? Please say 7.3 power stroke
YEP!! Beautiful dump truck! If you don't mind me asking, ballpark figure, what does something like that go for in your area. Been looking a lot as well and I was just curious how prices are out of the southeast US.
Better....7.3 International paired with the 5 speed manual transmission! Has just over 56,000 miles on it too I’m still a little giddy over finding it
This is definitely not a buyers market for equipment...especially used equipment! I bought the truck because I’ve been looking for it for quite some time, and wasn’t confident I’d find one in as good of condition if I passed.
