I don’t think I have. It’s got to be good, as heavy as it is. It feels heavier than any Oak species. It’s a stem off a tree that’s at least 75yrs old. Big stems keep dying and I don’t know why. It looks like the rest of the tree is on it’s way out, so I’ll get that wood when it happens.
Littleleaf Linden, Red Oak and few Sugar Maple skinnies. A White Oak that got some electric shock therapy
Snagged some old Hedge posts today, there are a couple nails & a few staples that need to be removed but it will be like throwing coal into the stove when this stuff gets put in.
A bit of Cherry, some Ponderosa Pine & a steel post I tried to cut off Some boards I milled out of the Ponderosa Pine
No trailer load of wood today. Wife wanted the old above ground pool torn down and hauled off. Everything but the aluminum siding was stacked up in the middle of the pool and wrapped up like a burrito in the liner. Tractor used to pick it up and dumped into the trailer.
I did save the aluminum siding for cover material. A short section is going to become an awning over a garage walk in door.
