So far this is where I’m at, I gave three loads to a close friend in need. He has had a rough time, with back surgery etc etc. 781F828C-68D1-4F96-A3B7-0F2374C05C64.jpeg 0258F3C1-1303-4BB3-AE78-6F6B45CA0D37.jpeg

Nothing like working your butt off CSS then cracking some cold ones and firing up the grill!

Mystery wood from the state park, Linden wood, basswood or poplar. It’s fire pit wood now.

It’s not near as heavy as it looks. If it was Oak or Osage it would be a LOAD

another load from the ranch. Ranch owner and I pulled out 7-8 trees. I would cut and set choker, she would skid with her tractor. Still lots more to cut. Probably run out of cool damp weather and come into fire danger. So much wood to cut, can’t I take off work for a few months?

Just getting back to this - sorry for the delay. Most has been tree service wood. I have 5 acres, but no real "forest." I do cut up downed trees on my property. I have about 3 cords CSS at the moment. I wouldn't mind a few more cords so I'm trying to pay more attention for potential scrounges. I suspect a could learn a few things from you. :D

LOL!!! True! Grab is ASAP other wise it can be gone in a flash. Sometimes im amazed at how fast "roadkill" wood disappears and other times how long it sits.
