Got to scrounge today. Guy a mile from me had 6 big oaks dropped in his yard. The o e with shaggy bark might be hickory. I loaded the biggest pieces up by the cab...before I get too tired.
Today’s haul. Pic was before I finished loading up. Really nice day out today. Found a deer head out there today too. Mtn lion or poacher. Who knows.
Nice haul as usual RN! Pretty area to cut in as well. Last Winter i was cutting in a good tangle. As i hacked my way in a spotted rib bones and for a second i thought human, until i saw legs with hooves. Deer carcass. Scared the chit outta me.
Yes and tried out the old stihl 031 I just got back from the shop. Pretty sure it needs new ignition. Runs well but not full rpm will cut out a bit. Pretty positive it’s the old points.
Load of black locust from Friday. Finished one score and continued with another across the street to top off the load.
Seems like Brad and I with our white truck posse have been cutting our share. Loaded picture was finishing off logs from yesterday, filled up trailer and then started cutting more rounds for next time. Also my boss man came out and helped we got him a load and he split and finished filling my trailer. What a guy!
Ya the wheels look great! But they have rust and not even a year old lol... it took me 4 years of ownership to really start using it. Now I realize fully what I purchased lol. Need a headache rack & some higher side rails to load her up more
Got another truck load after work today before the rain came in. I don't really know what it is. It has a faint, sweet grape? smell. It's lighter than oak and splits easy when green and wet.
