Took me a minute or two to get that one. I didn’t even notice that when I posted it. I had to edit it to get it to show ‘right side up’ this time. It looked normal on my phone. Here it is in a non gravity defying state.
Here is another Ash tree that needed removed. It is too wet in the field to dump it so I’ll have to wait for dryer weather. Hand split with two X27s and a 8lb maul.
Another one today. Found another dead standing oak (maybe 7” at the base) and the rest of the rounds from the pine. Unless that wood reproduces like rabbits (which may be possible as every time I think I’m done I find more), I’m calling this job done. Well, except for splitting that is.
Must be exiting watching you split, 3 mauls. Do you get many stares having 3 arms, maybe it's four as one would be placing the rounds. Very nice load.
The difficult part is finding shirts with four sleeves and keeping gloves in stock. Two friends came over to help plus my boy who is 17. That load is probably just shy of two cords
Another surprise delivery for a friend today, good way to spend part of "black friday" away from the crowds.
Big ash tree went down. (Black ants) Been standing dead for years. 4 trips with the dodge. Little help from the 8n pulling it up and out of the creek.
Small load after welding up a gate for the ranch owner. Better than nothing, but didn’t feel like doing much more in the rain today.
Took the day off work today to go enjoy a great day cutting. It was such a nice day. It was so peaceful. A bit rusty felling a tree as all I’ve been doing is cutting up downed trees for sometime now.
Nice saws and truck. They even match! Was your face cut too shallow? Looks like a very thin hinge. Either way, safe and a load headed home. Good work.
Thanks Redd. I should've taken a side pic. My back cut in the part I've circled actually is a tad lower then the bottom of the face cut.
