Birch from today after work, was a good thing I am ahead with wood cutting. After the first cut the chain tensioner broke. My local Stihl dealer meet me at the shop for a $8 part. Today is my Monday, it never dawned on me that today was Sunday until the dealer mentioned coming in on Sunday to take care of a customer. Said it was his way of thanking me. Man am I lucky to have him around. 3366B7CF-EF1C-413F-9893-2302CE80AFC8.jpeg D4FB6730-2F9A-4633-998D-28F2F0250E25.jpeg

Rope , This year we got the SC15. It was a beast!.

We used the 4 way wedge on all but 5 cords of smaller very straight stuff that we were able to use the 6 way on. In 40 cords, we only had 2 hang ups. And, I think that may have been contributed to by some operator error on the height of the 4 way on both.

Here is the link to their nationwide list of locations. Unfortunately, I don't see any in Alaska yet. But, maybe that is a business opportunity for you buddy!

Thank you, I started on google search yesterday Made the guess you used Mid Atlantic Dyna. I am thinking of getting one and not renting it out necessarily, as not many tractors or skid steers in these parts. I am thinking of doing the processing, one price if they can feed the processor, another if I have to.

863DF1A9-BB97-4112-9B59-93A425F0F44D.jpeg Cut a couple sassafras down for a friend over the weekend. It uprooted partially during the last windstorm and was close to hitting the cable line and potentially the house. I rigged it down and then loaded up the logs for the ole hardy to munch on.

I am just working the problem...tree is where the roots are and needs to get to my wood pile. I did just place a order last night with a local shop to build me a ATV/UTV double axel walking beam log hauler. Hope to have it by the time the snow melts. We are shooting for a 1/4 cord per trip. I have the line on a nice stand of fire killed spruce that is going to be about a mile to one and a half one way trip. Via the D-6 line cut, should be just the ticket.
