Had to laugh, a local Craigslist guy uses that picture in his ads. Kinda misleading imo but i find it humorous.

Saturday surprise load for a coworker, about a 50/50 mix of black locust and ash.

Trailer load for a few guys who hooked me up with a bunch of wood this year. Man i love giving wood away to old guys who appreciate how much work goes into it! image.jpg here's a picture of my truck from today. Not fully loaded, but a nice haul none the less. image.jpg

Hickory is a denser wood than oak. That's why it has more btu's than oak.

Wife and I took another load of 2 - 2.5 years dried firewood down to the house. Mostly black birch and apple (thank you The Wood Wolverine ) and a little cherry. We also took about 500 bd-ft of chestnut oak lumber down house. It will be siding for our little hay barn. The truck got a nice workout today.

Thanks, it continues to evolve all the time. Today I welded some bent rebar pieces on the bumper to protect the quick connectors for the winch. The juice for the winch comes from the splitter. Sometimes dry rounds pop open and fly forward putting the connectors at risk of being crushed. I think it needs a flood light at the top on each back corner shinning back over the splitter, probably will be the improvement.

Scored another load of Ash. Lots of busting brush to open it up. Stihl a few truckloads in this mess.

Pine and cherry. Coworker took these down and wanted the wood gone. Still have to get the other half next week.
