Natural light makes all difference! my stove living room is dark evergreen.. in can looked almost black.. but 3 front windows southwest facing are re-purpossed sliding glass door 1 inch thick so 35 wide 72 tall. remember with wainscoting and wood trim.... vinyl interior windows might clash.... wood interior new are a lot more money.. but it probably won't matter cause your wife might want blinds and curtains even though nearest neighbors are 700 yards away!!! I digress. .
Change of plans, no pallets! Menards have these plywood sheets CHEAPER than their other plywood and it will fit our purposes well. That means less work and we can get it on the walls in late January or early February!
Thanks. We just hung up some new tan thermal/blackout curtains that we bought on clearance. The youngest is getting old enough that she needs new curtains in her room anyway (so I almost tall enough that the half curtains she has won't be tall enough) so the purchase is justified as the old ones will go up there. And we should be more energy efficient now-- especially in the summer.
Bead board is always a good choice for wainscoting. My preference is having it done is stark white to contract with the colored walls. But to each their own. There is no wrong or right way to do it. Both Lowes or HD have a nice chair rail specific for the application you are using.
We are actually planning that for the living room. The two rooms run together and we will see how it looks in the living room while we live with it until April or so, and maybe it will get painted too.
Ok, got the beaded plywood in the back of the truck. The first of it will go up tonight, will see how far i get. Hoping to make it across the living room.
What, no New Years Eve festivities? Slowing down? We used to go out and live it up, but now you couldn't pay me to go out on New Years.
I just saw this thread but my dyslexia, thought it said there is a model in the living room. What a disappointment
And we are done in here for a while, until we start ripping wall out for our archway to the stove room. Next week we will focus on the dining room which is getting the same bead board.
