    You just said the "magic" of what I think most of us here require! I know thats my dream/goal! So many people have no idea what life is like in the rural world. They don't have a conception of "complete" darkness or quiet. I actually feel sad for many folks, but that's the life and destiny "they" choose. I've always said and it's my quote, Thank God for cities because it keeps the the "true nuts" out of the country! :):cool:

    Being out in the country isn't all that quiet all the time. You do have your packs of coyotes howling in the middle of the night, owls hooting in the early morning hours, song birds going full tilt as soon as the sun comes up in the spring time, the occasional tree crashing down. It might be dark but only on the days with the new moon. Stars fill the sky from horizon to horizon and the full moon makes it possible to go for a walk without a flashlight. Where we live we can hear the races going from 8 miles away as well as the occasional train whistle. You are right WeldrDave, country living is great. Had a small 4point buck walk by our deck the other morning not more than 15 feet away. Hard living out here but way better than in town. Don't even have cell service at the house or cable TV. No natural gas, but plenty of wood.
