Well my weekend went to $hit.
Two close family friends are in the hospital. Both suspected to have covid 19. One of them is Jayden’s ( my adopted Grandson. He was at the GTG last year ) Grandma. He is going crazy, he lives with her almost all of the time now. The other is his stepfather.
Waiting on test results. But its not looking good.

That's good at least. Here's to hoping they both pull through this.

One of our friends lost her brother to Covid19 last week.

The Wood Wolverine , that elm fought me the other day while splitting it. I swear, splitting elm without a push through splitter would really be a pain. I've never split elm on the H/V non push through splitter, but I just recall your pictures of your fun.

On the push through, if one doesn't split all the way before the end of the piston stroke, then you just load the next piece on and it will finish the job.

These pieces were all noodled by the asplundh guy, so that probably helped.

I’ll take your word for it. :handshake:

More wood activities today in the spirit of a GTG.

Not firewood working, but some of the 1x4's needed to be farwood ( far from us)...lol...started helping our son put a roof on his house, had some friends helping, so I guess it was a mini GTG. And he has plenty of wood to cut for his wife's grandma 2782.jpeg

I expected to be posting today thanking everyone for coming to the GTG. A sad day it is realizing there won't be a GTG this year at our place. I'm hoping there will still be a few GTG's though; 2 in MI; one at huskihl and the other at cus_deluxe and the other gtg at walt's in Ohio.
