You are right though, for those 3 day's I felt so useless. (NO JOKES INSERTED)... My knee's were hurting so much, and go figure it was on the GTG. I was taking meds every 4 hours to keep the swelling down. It's not normally that bad but the weeks prior I was working on the house and ladders will do it! Not to mention I'm 35lbs over weight! , That doesn't help...

 

I had a great time as always seeing my extended firewood family. There are a chit-ton of "THANK YOUS" to hand out, too many to even keep track of.....but here's a few....

Thank you to Dennis for being a gracious host and allowing a bunch of nutty firewood freaks to to invade his homestead for the weekend. I consider him close family and look forward to any time I can get with him and with you all. We sure do miss Judy but we know we will see her again....

Thank you to Chvymn99 for the hard work cooking all weekend. If you haven't had some of his cooking, you don't now what you're missing! Also thank you to all the others that cooked and brought delicious food and desserts. It was epic, to say the least! And huskihl for the amazing breakfasts!

Thank you to all those who donated gifts for the giveaway....namely to Gary_602z, metalcuttr and the folks at Woodstock for the amazing items!! As well as all the others who donated.

Thank you to wildwest for the amazing memorial book made for Dennis, and to Redneck for delivering it! That was a very special moment that won't be forgotten....

Thanks to all those hardworking guys and gals who busted their butts cutting and processing an epic amount of firewood over the weekend. No small feat to process over a years worth of wood from a massive tree like that. To me, seeing everyone come together and do that for Dennis was simply amazing. No other way to describe it.

It has been a very hard year.for every one, but some of our members have had an especially bad year. To see them get together, have some laughs and smiles, well it just doesn't get much better than that.

The comraderie we've created is almost unheard of nowadays. I said it several times over the weekend and I'll say it again....if nothing else ever comes from our little forum here at FHC, it has created lifetime bonds and friendships that are truly remarkable, and I'm glad to have participated in my tiny part.

I didn't take many pics as I was too busy working....lol.....but here's a few......
