Brian, with the springs you have there and seeing how wet the ground is above the garden, I question if you'll ever have to water it. Those springs can be both a blessing and a curse though.

It sounds like everybody made it home okay except for Dave and Chrissy but they are an exception. Hope they enjoy the vacation.

We have a heat wave supposed to come at us so I'll be interested to see what effect that has on the NE.

One section stays somewhat damp and I intentionally added some slope thinking ahead for this. I can run the sprinkler on the left while facing down and the water does flow right just about to the corn one the far right.

While I was there I kept thinking there needs to be a ditch dug perhaps about 70' or so up from the garden to get the water out before it gets to the garden as it would be tough getting a garden in sometimes because of all the water, with most of it being just below the surface.

You should've seen that area before I put drainage in just above the garden. It was a swamp, if I dug it down I could've had a pond! There is still a wet area, but the seed is taking and coming up slowly. On the to do list is drainage up from the driveway on down along the trail and into the woods. The steam is in the woods on the other side of the property. Drainage + a spring halfway down. We have tons to do still, but everything comes down to time & $!
