For those of you who weren’t there I forgot our tent poles :headbang: We had limited options and WeldrDave and his wife graciously offered to let us stay with them in their awesome apartment they rented for the weekend! What great people! I do apologize for my nekid sleepwalking :startled:

Jack Straw, I told you, you didn’t forget them. After you loaded them your wife snuck them back into the basement! She really didn’t want to sleep in a tent

We really got lucky! Dave’s place was awesome and he made us breakfast!

It was an honor to meet you and your son.

Both boys were awesome! They could, and did, entertain themselves for hours in the great outdoors. They were quiet and answered when called (like before target practice began). You parents should be proud!

    Here’s a few pics.

I need to thank ScottyOverkill for giving me the chance to use his vintage saw. I used the green Pioneer in the back. Totally new experience and very different from what I expected.

Here’s another one of the fire. In the background we have Marshel54, bogieb, and MikeinMa tending to the fire.

And here’s a quick little detour Mason and I took on the way home.
IMG_6145.jpg The inside of that covered bridge is very cool. We got a nice video of it.

I have tons of pics, and tons of commentary, I'll get started with this post and add more later, so bare with me....

I was SUPER STOKED to see my good buddy Backwoods Savage was there! They kept his arrival secret and on the down-low, conspiring with Jack Straw. It was awesome to see him as I missed the Michigan GTG and I was really bummed out about it.
    20180608_203017.jpg

saewoody running my 1957 I.E.L. Pioneer RA, I brought along some of my old saws to the event so others could enjoy the old skool stuff.....you don't get to run saws like that every day!
    20180609_101814.jpg

bear 1998 ripping it up with his new Husky 395XP. It was great to meet and chat with him, he's fairly close to our area so I'm sure we'll be meeting up more often!
    20180609_102316.jpg

Backwoods Savage "explaining" to DaveGunter, saewoody and bear 1998 that they weren't running the splitter "correctly"....he was gonna hand out fines for not having a proper seat (i.e. milk crate) and for the splitter not being in the correct "vertical" position.... ;)
    20180609_144648.jpg

Marshel54 having fun with the lovely ladies......trust me when I say this was totally FAMILY event, I was really bummed that my wife didn't come along......the girls had a great time just as much as the guys

And fishingpol working his pizza magic. He could easily open a 5 star pizza restaurant, the ones he made in the driveway were phenominal!
    20180609_140726.jpg

I gotta say I had a fantastic time with everyone, it was great to put a handshake with the names and faces of many FHC members who I've longed to see. I wanna hand out a super special THANK YOU to Well Seasoned and his lovely wife Dawn for hosting the event, putting in all that hard work into this GTG, it isn't easy......

And for all of those that donated towards the host and hostess gifts, and helped with food and such, I send my heartfelt love and thanks.....

Can't wait til the next one!!

Can you see the FHC "Fire Wizard"? He was summoned by the mountains and all those FHCr's, and he made an appearance, he appears to be giving the event a THUMBS UP!
