Buddy and I did a little cutting today. Woods were pretty wet and slick, but with 5 days of rain in the day forecast, we figured we had get a little bit out while we could.

We got three loads out about like this one. Mostly chestnut oak that has been down a little while, but some red and white oak also.

Right where I want to be.
Good job getting out before the rain hits.
That's a nice stack of future firewood.

You did better than me today. Got a couple of my logs cut to firewood size then the saw ran out of gas. Never to start again. Put the saw away and split what I had cut. Darn new saw. I'll have to work on the old saw if the new one wants to act like this.
I wanted to get a lot more cut. We too are suppose to get rain for the next week.
