Wish I had the funds. That would make a cool work truck for the property. 4 wheel drive in an old work horse like that. Priceless. But I am working on getting ready for other horses for my wife. Best of luck selling it though Salvage.

Alot of action on ebay occurs during the last 30 minutes of an auction. Peoples thoughts are that they do not want to bid against themselves so they wait till the end, or they use sites like auction sniper to bid for them at the last minute. GLWS

Getting e-mails asking such things as the reserve (you will know it when it is met) and what it would be worth restored (how can I predict the future value of a vehicle?).

I dont know elderwelder mentioned it. I always snipe manually myself. Meaning I leave a window with my bid and everything done till the last dew seconds then hit the confirm bid or submit button or whatever it is?

The reason for this is some just box and bid again when they get out bid and the two of you will drive the price up higher. Many just dont put in their highest price at first. Example some chainsaw I see I am willing to pay $200 I can just max bid at first for $200 bit someone may try and creep you up to see how high your bid is. In bad cases a shady seller could have a friend or second account and do it (probably not common but happens I am sure). Or I can wait till the last minute and just submit that $200 at the end. And unless that creeper curious guy is doing the same you most likely will win out at a lower price. Doesnt always work but does sometimes.

before the days of smart phones there were times when you could not be at or on the computer, so if you wanted to place a bid on ebay at the last minute these sites will do it for you automatically. you tell them the max $ you are welling to pay and it places your bid at a time you pick (usually a few seconds) before the auction ends
