i bought the makita/dolmar ea5600 saw, 56cc 4.1 hp 12.8 lbs has the cartridge type air filter. alot more professional than the 5105 set up, i ran this saw 9 hrs cutting alot of birch, added a chisel chain, this is a outstanding firewood saw, IMO, BUT its hard to beat the stihl 261 10.8 lbs for all day cutting, but the ea5600 seems alot more powerful, cutting big birch hardwood trees all day i loved this saw, this saw is not for the average homeowner who cuts 5 to 8 cords a years IMO, as the 261 is 2 lbs lighter, and has lots of jam.

My cousin has a 261 and I like it a lot. I have been using my 362 almost every day lately and it's really growing on me, with the 25" bar. But I wouldn't mind owning a 261 also. And I wouldn't hesitate to get one, if I didn't already own the Jonesred 2255. It's hard to justify a 3rd saw, or a 4th saw. I better go take a cold shower!
