    And welcome to FHC Old-Feller :handshake:

    So, is the stove able to have mass “packed” around it or added in some way? Granted you still have to tend the feeding of this style rocket stove, but if masonry mass was added, which takes ~ hour per inch thick for heat to migrate thru and then radiate from, you could extend into the night the usefulness of the unit.

    Thank you for the Welcome!! No, You can't put mass around it, At least not the way I installed it. I may try to post up some pics tomorrow.

    Here is a pic of my Liberator Rocket stove. I welded the Spring Handle on it, Because I burned my hand the first time I lit it.

    I see they have a new model now with a removable top and a ceramic fiber tube inside. Looks like it’s UL listed too. I couldn’t see paying that kind of money though. I’m a cheapskate, though. I wonder how horse manure would burn in one of those.
