As long as it works, that's what matters. Aesthetics do matter, but me personally l have never been a lever lover. Dad had a Winchester 94 and a Marlin 30/30. One guy in our group had a savage 99 in 300 savage. That was a nice looking gun, and the Browning blr is nice looking.

That BCA levAR isn't pretty, from what I recall, but I'm not in the market for one. Henry's are made here in Wisconsin.

Some of have a bit of a problem with irons,vs eyes. Like me, I like irons but the dang rear sight disappears when I get behind it. Glasses well ya then the sight is there but target is gone. so its on to the the red dots or some sort of glass.

Same here. I used to be able to browse Cabela's site (never so much as bought ammunition from them) but they got wise to that one eventually as well. Can't even look at pellet guns now!

Marlin 336 with gold trigger. 30-30. My dad bought it for me for me about 55 years ago. Same time I got my first hunting license.

Just picked up a nice little 22 mag Henry lever gun. 20" barrel, octagon barrel, 12 round tube capacity.

Massachusetts just passed a bullchit new gun law that prohibits many new firearms. Got the Henry and my Ruger Mini 14 before it went into effect. FU Massachusetts

Ya, what can I say...I wanted *maximum carnage. We don't get long shots at them here, so the ballistics would have worked fine at 175-200. Fair amount of drop beyond 200. Of course the subsonic loads for the gun I just posted would mean even greater drops, earlier... those bullets still have to be carrying all kinds of kinetic energy. The thuds would be epic.

Picking up a Rossi stainless 454 Friday. AR has instituted a Alternative firearms season in muzzleloader. I have a 45LC and a 454 Super Blackhawk sophisticated will be a great companion rifle. Be good in the deer woods also. I'll post pics wheni get it
