Ouch! I suspect that there might be some neglected maintainence along the way for that much expense on a repair at that milage. (or a very expensive "reputable shop") I'm at about 200k and almost 6400 hours with just oil & filter(s) on the '01. Same went for my '97 & '94 & my '88 7.3's. The 99 450 only has 70k on it. There were quite a few $40 "cam sensors" but no injectors on any of those trucks.

Possibly so. He bought that one about six months or so ago. Ran good for the first few months. Then the power problems started.

I want a trailer like that! Do those sides come off? I would like to have a goose neck that is a deck over. Easy to put logs on. Nice set up man!

Lots of great pics of wood haulers here!

Mostly I use the Gator, a few times I use the Dodge 3500 and trailer.

That's a perfect size load isn't it Fan? It sure is my speed anyway. Do you have the cab enclosure too?

Like the fence. Have sections here, exactly the same stuff that have grayed up nice too.

she could have at least drove while you jumped from the roof onto the running board of the truck...:dex:
or maybe on to the back of the trailer, then crawl up the top of the load, then into the passenger side door :picard:

It's my speed too.... I get a load or two like that, then split and stack it. Pretty conveinent really. ;)

That fence is pretty long and every so often I have a limb or tree come down and wipe out a section. And no cab enclosure, just use it for firewood and work stuff. Kids use it to buzz around on the trails sometimes.

Now if you come over I will get the truck out and we can get a bunch of wood....

I still got that bad tree that needs to come done next to the building....

Thought I would bring this thread back to life. Here's my old 89 F350. Loaded with oak and stacked from the truck. 20151129_144038.jpg 20151122_153404.jpg

looks like you have Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires on your truck? How do you like them? I just bought a set last week for my Nissan Frontier 4X4, so far i am loving them..but have not really put them into any challenges yet

Yep! I have had them for a couple years and love them. They are the load range E (10 ply) and I have put some serious weight on them. They perform great in mud, snow, and ice. They aren't loud on the road and seem to handle well. I run my truck out to where I'm cutting and I'm not all that careful and have yet to be stuck. IMAG1444.jpg

Those xj's are so far from chitboxes. I've been toying with the idea of getting the cleanest one I can find, putting a 4" lift on it, nice bigger tires and running it for as long as I can.

    Here's mine from yesterday. IMG_20160123_132618013_HDR.jpg IMG_20160123_135524486_HDR.jpg
I had to unload half of the round on this load to get up the hill.
I'll be putting v chains on the back shortly.

A couple of sled loads and it filled the trailer.
