Yeah, they wouldn't be cheap now. I have shot a few of em and almost bought a couple years ago and passed. they were in kinda bad shape.
Yes. Just don't expect it to be a Benelli. They shoot fine though for the price. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Yep I understand but......when you end up buying the sbe later you will have more than that invested. I did the same thing, now I have both. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Check out the Franchi Intensity/ Affinity. Very similar to the Benelli's with a few less bells and whistles, but nicer than a Stoeger. Sent from my SM-S320VL using Tapatalk
I bought a Nova shortly after they were first introduced and it has been as reliable as a rock! Not a really attractive gun but super dependable. Been the demise of many a pheasant, duck and goose.
I went and put my hands on a Stoeger M3500, Franchi Intensity, and SBE3. Franchi and Stoeger were pretty equal except for the trigger. I'm not a trigger snob, especially on a shotgun, but the Stoeger trigger had a ton of creep and to get it to break felt like a 10lb pull. The Franchi was wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Nothing but good things to say about the SBE3.
I have an H&K Turkey O/U; left hand Remington 870 that is for work- years ago I had a Hastings turkey barrel made for it. Most recently is my lefty Binelli M2 for sporting clays and maybe bucket llist trip to shoot birds in South America. Rossi 12 ga and .50 cal black powder that I got before rifles were allowed for deer in Indiana- we may be behind the times, but when the world comes to an end, we will have ten more years. Rossi discontinued the cimbo, and with it, stopped stocking replacement breech plugs- I told them they discontinued me as a customer of their new products. I have a Winchester 1897 take down, on display in my office, just above our Tommy gun from the 1930's.
Purchased in 1931, soon after, it was used to end the pursuit of a bank robber when an officer fired “warning shots “ into the back of the robber’s car. Apparently didn’t understand ballistic theory. A round went into the guy and kilt him
