I love seeing the old trials/enduro bikes. My uncle who has an affinity for uncommon bikes has a small collection of Bultaco Alpinas and Fronteras. He still takes them in the woods regularly.
Swapped my freshly refurbed Ohlins back in this morning. Had to remove the entire exhaust except the front head pipe. Remote preload adjuster works again.
Bought low mileage blue cream puff, sold old yeller. So I only have one. Still haven't uncovered the Multistrada.
Two men participating in a motorcycle chariots race circa 1925 (97 years ago) It doesn't matter which generation you grew up in.... kids will be kids!
Found an old Wind Vest wind screen down in the basement on the spare parts shelf. A two beer engineering episode followed. I thought it would fit the Big Ruckus. After a trip to ACE, and a drill and tap on the brackets (had to turn em 90 degrees) it most certainly did.
New to me 2019 Zero S, bought it from the original owner with 2300 miles. Still got the old Beemer Airhead, it’s currently being “rebuilt” for the second time with 260,000 miles on it. The shop doing the work called the other day and said it won’t be ready till the fall. So I found this Zero to hold me over. Tentative plan is to have Mrs DG learn to ride on the Zero. No clutch, no transmission, ABS brakes, just twist the throttle and go.
You’re welcome to take it for a ride. Look me up ifin you’re ever in Maine. Be a great way to do the tourist thing in Bar Harbor.
