Stumbled onto an immaculate Kawasaki Concours (C-14), a '16 just traded in at a local dealer. Was going to buy a new (but now left- over as the '21's are out) C-14 but did not care for the new finish, semi- gloss, and the '16 came with a matched top- box, touring saddle and brand new Michelin tires in place of those factory Brickstones.

This will replace a '08 of the same make and model w/ 100K miles on it.

Lots and lots of mods. and farkles to do / add, starting off with an electrical tap for heated gear and a cruise control.

My eyes completely skipped over the white bike as I scrolled to center the huge picture on my screen so I only saw the Road Glide so your words did not make sense to me until I took a 3rd look :emb:

All put away for the winter and plugged into a couple of Battery Tender Jr.s. The convertible is sleeping too. Covered with a quilt so the cat can nap and keep the mice away. Hood is up on the car to discourage them from nesting or eating the wiring.

Couple weekends ago I took my daughter out for a short ride, maybe less than 100. Got home and noticed the tire is finished. I mounted a fresh 190/50 (vs 190/55) because it was given to me with only a few short miles on it. Reason it was pulled, a puncture. I’m not one to shy away from a plug so I installed plug patch.

I’m sure most wouldn’t have bothered. Will definitely post up if I experience any issues with it.

We would plug newer tires like that if the customer signed a waiver...never had an issue.

Those patches work fine. The others not so much. 3100 miles isn't bad, what pirelli was that again. Rosso3?

Diablo Rosso Corsa II. No way I could stand changing tires this soon. Grip and feel we’re fantastic but I’ll go back to the Road5’s when this next one is spent.

He is very down to earth and is the nicest most unassuming man I have ever met

Me too. Peter Egan. Surprising that I've never met him. Maybe seen him in passing. I know he was at a party that was thrown by the local ducati store, that I wanted to go to, but couldn't.

I have a book of his. It was great to travel through the Wisconsin area and take in some of the sights and roads he wrote about.

I always liked that era of Suzukis.
When I was too young to ride it, I lusted after the orange/white tanked, 1972 Ts-250 like this...

Every once in a while I see one pop up on Craigslist... Never as nice as the one pictured above though..

I remember my cousin had a DT175 way back before I got my first dirtbike. Similar to this:

I got hauled around several times on the back.

You guys are making me swoon with the old Suzuki TS and Yamaha DT. I used to have a 74' TS125 and a 78' DT400, both old clunkers but fun. Of course I had all sorts of 125 and 250 motocross bikes growing up too, YZ, KX, RM etc. I got out of riding for years, but last year I picked up another old clunker and made it into a street legal old clunker rat bike LOL. 1980 Honda XR200. I got it through inspection after adding the appropriate lights, turn signals, speedometer etc. then chopped it up to make a scrambler out of it. The factory gearing was too low for highway speeds so I ended up making a smaller rear sprocket, dropping it to 40 teeth and increasing it to 14 in the front. I rode it for a season before blowing the crank seals. Ended up coming across a 250 motor for it so now I have to cut and weld the frame to stuff it in there, the new motor is a bit taller. Always something...
