Found a brand new but open package solar touring screen on fleaBay for my Memphis Shades Batwing. It was in perfect condition. Dumped in 4 fresh quarts of Amsoil I am so ready to head west. Have to wait 6 more days.

We leave at 6 o’clock Sat morning and I am already packed! Locked and loaded!
Have to mow a cemetery for our town board tomorrow (5 hours) and my lawn Friday.
That’s why I packed early,,

 

We did 740 miles. Didn’t get hot til Lincoln NE
Last 200 miles it was almost 100F
Paying the price now for all the beer that was used for re hydration purposes

 

We are at the 1500 mile mark but there will be zero miles Tuesday. 10” of snow forecasted for Grand Lake Colorado. We are holing up.

It was 105F in Denver Sunday in places
Just a few flurries here in Granby right now but it is considerable cooler

 

We did get out for a couple hour ride. The road into rocky mtn nat park was closed spose to stop snowing 7pm back into the 90s next week. We are good. Son doesn’t need to be back to work til sep 23

We kept em up. 28F son is gambling some of his overtime away Blackhawk is full of places that take your money

 

Riding in snow is not really fun, glad you shiny sides up!

But dirt bikes don’t go 600-700 lbs!

Pizza and beering in Buena Vista. Blue sky today. Some dirt roads to see St Elmo. It was not on fire

 

Today was a 3 pass day two were dirt. Cottonwood Ohio and Kebler. Still a buncha snow up high.

 

We don’t fear dirt on street bikes as long as we can get traction. Heading in the direction of The San Juans tomorrow

Col hy 141 from grand junction to Naturita is a dream ride on a bike. If any of you get to this fine state put it on your list. 99 miles it’s like riding the bottom on Grand Canyon



Years ago I rode a Honda Shadow Phantom up to this hydro plant above Telluride. I won’t do that again the Jeep people were giving me funny looks
