Thanks The Wood Wolverine, the lake is one of many around Yosemite National Park... It was a great day for a ride, most everyone is staying home this time of year.
Wife and I took a ride to Middleburg Va for our 23rd wedding anniversary. Great little town even though everything was out of our pay scale. Stopped at a winery or two, gravel drive included. And we ended up at: Doh!
Checking valves on some Bavarian Engineering Wife is an avid wood worker, so all of that stuff is situated on the right side. Bikes and bike camper (she is pulling it behind her Can-Am Spyder) parked up against the back wall, walk-in deer cooler in the far right corner. I got all my stuff in the left far corner, welding machines, saws, tools, power tools etc. Fun Fun.....
I added an ‘06 Electra Glide to my garage. Now to log some miles and get used to the VAST differences between this and the r12c. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd always wanted an R1200c since laying my eyeballs on a 2 page add in a magazine, I was running wild on an old Sportster I had built, and recently gone to ABATE's Bean Blossom Boogie,,wild party. In the magazine, left side page was a pic of a biker fest, on the right was an R1200c rolling thru a sweeping curve. The caption read, "Some people own motorcycles for the lifestyle, others own them to ride" (or something to that effect) with a side shot of a Montauk at the bottom..I was smitten and couldn't imagine a country boy from Rush county, Indiana ever owning one. A couple/few years ago I found my '02 with 2300 miles on it in Lafayette, In.(I call 'im Eurotrash) It's perfect for the 2 lane hiways and backroad jaunts I ride.(Eurothrashing) Haven't had a second of disappointment. . Eurotrash is great for about 250 miles of Eurothrashing, then I'm looking for a place to park. The Trash Truck I just bought was on a whim/impulse buy I've always liked the FLH, my favorite of the HD's. It was an independent shop I was in, buying something else when I saw the price tag on this barge,,it was on consignment. Spent a few hours that nite reading up on the 88 engines, watched a couple videos, thought I can handle most maintenance on the tub, went back and bought it, well under book. It's not perfect, I'll look do the cam chains tensioners this winter. I'd guess they haven't been serviced. The brakes fluid looks like crap, I'll go thru those. It's the flywheel bulls*&^% on these engines I'll have to look into.
I always liked those two-tone red SE's...and the dark blue ones too, but you don't see those as often. My two-tone pearl white '90 SE sits in the garage unridden this year...
