Two months after my elbow surgery I finally took the fat, slow pig out for a ride. It felt great to putter around again. I ran some errands and ran the boy to work. It’s been too long.

Sorry to hear that. It is very difficult coming down from a "I'm going to buy a new bike" high. Hopefully you find a Goldwing soon.

After having no ABS bikes forever, and reading and seeing how cornering ABS works and why it's so much better than normal ABS, is never get a traditional non cornering ABS system. I'd rather just have regular brakes, or cornering ABS. The Miracle That Is Cornering ABS, Explained

With our 2 big snowstorms this past week, there's a ton of grime and salt on the roads. Temps are finally going to be getting better, but now we need rain again. That might happen Wednesday.

Thanks OhioStihl ! I may wait until next winter, I think there will be more people selling older Goldwings now that Honda has released their new and improved fork system. Anyway I still have my FJR and I just got back from a 120 mile ride on one of my favorite roads that's full of some great twistys..........RIDE SAFE!

Anybody have any experience with the KTM duke's? Looking at buying a brand new leftover 2015 690 for my dad. I ride a Yamaha FZ-09 and may buy him one of those instead, but the Duke seems like a sweet bike and is priced nicely at $5,500. Mostly concerned with vibration from the big single cylinder.

As much as I like ktm's, that fz09 is a great bike. If it were a twin cylinder ktm, I would still go ktm. But that fz09, I don't need to tell you how good they are. The fz07 is a great bike too, probably more in the class of that ktm, with the fz07 still outgunning that ktm despite similar displacement.

    Before you pull the trigger:

I know, that’s a 390. But I would certainly search around for info on the 690 and see if it has similar reputations.

We got a very little amout of rain yesterday. I'm sure the salt is still thick in piles on the roads on corners and turn outs. Grrr

Finally got to ride into work today. It was 45* on my ride in and 88* on my ride back home (at least where I started from). 83* by the time I got home. Unfortunately, thunderstorms, some severe, forecast for tomorrow so no more riding for a couple of days.
