I think it's better now on fresh gas and good oil. With the oil he's running, he could probably turn the oil pump down a bit.

Sold my 86 Shadow 1100 last year. Went with an '06 1600 Vulcan Classic back in 2007.
    1-DSC00396-002.JPG

ETA- My Shadow was stored for a few years before selling it. Took it for s test ride before selling and man did I forget how nimble that bike was compared to the 1600. However, the Vulcan is very comfortable on long rides in the White Mountains !

Only bike I ever owned, a Kawasaki 500 with 8" extended front end. A real mean bike back in the early 70s. Had it till the early 90s. Always wanted one of those old Nortons or Triumphs.

I got you Steve, glad to have found you again over here. My H1 was that same green color before I painted it that ugly hot cinnamon, paint looked good in the can! I repainted it midnight blue shortly after! Glad to see your still ticking man. Enjoyed your post about the "ghost flames" too.

I've been dragging my feet on crossing the 100K mark. It represents a bit over a decade of great riding, lot's of good times shared with friends, etc.. kind of a dumb thing. No intention of selling it, not that there's much difference between 99,858 and 101,000.

I am jealous as can be of all the toys! Do you not still have the Dyna? I found when my kids were young I didn't have time for the bike, and sold mine to the BIL ...didn't have one for another 12 years. When the kids hit college life changes. (in more ways than one) o_O

Yeah, Dyna is gone now. I still have some toys, just toys that can be used with the Kids. :)

I will have another HD (Street Bob is what I want now, but I am young and that decision may change to Street Glide, when that day comes).

Forgot pics of my 2 work machines. My Big Bear 400 4x4 and my Dixie Chopper Excalibur 3374.

Just put the saw holder on the Big Bear yesterday. Member Swags got it for me. Best gift I received in a long time.

These are my 2 favorite machines.

I ride up in your neighborhood all the time. We should meet and do some miles and have some BBQ or something like that this coming Spring.

All very awesome bikes. I am due for something like YZ one of these days.. I've got tons of old horse trails around there that beg for riding. The snowmobilers go on day rides and only cross a road once in a while, they keep them clear.. the property owners are pretty good about it, as long as it isn't too noisy.

    I highly recomend the YZ450F
Sure the YZ250F is fun on the track but the 450 will empty your adrenaline glands in a few seconds leaving you exhausted and spent as if you spent the night with a room full of working girls.

Thought this picture seemed appropriate for this forum with the bike and the firewood in the background.
I was able to use the bike this summer to scope out and find our new firewood cutting location.
