Ah, the evil empire. All Italians and a Bavarian bike.

Me, I'm still undecided which way I'll go with my replacement bike, but it's going to be German, Italian, Japanese, or Austrian. ;). So many great new or revised choices, it's the best time time be in the market for a new bike in like 20 years.

I spent some quality time on the Tuono w/carbon wheels. Just....wow. Made the Mutley feel slow steering.

Also got paid to ride one day last week. Winterization time.

Guilty pleasure was the Honda Fury. Didn't have room to line up the cruisers but for those unfamiliar:

Was going to go for a short ride yesterday - to the next town over and back (about 14 miles). The idea was to accomplish a couple of things; stop and fill the tank (at 1/2 now), charge up the battery (haven't ridden since 11/16/16), and get the oild flowing thru the motor and clutch. I pulled the bike out from the garage and as usual, it started raining - but it was solid rain. Decided to let it warm up / charge up there in the driveway. Can fill up a gas can and get the tank filled up. About time to call the dealer to come get it for winter storage :(.

The white flecks on the seat are snow - hard to get a pic since the motor was all warmed up by the time I thought about taking pictures. It was sticking to other parts of the bike, but the scoot is so filthy from riding in the rain that the flakes wouldn't show in the pictures.

Well, I got out yesterday, if only to top of the tanks with gas. Sad day to do the changing of the guards, my annual garage clean out and then reverse the positions of the bikes and the snowblower and gas generator.

It's snowing lightly this morning. But it won't amount to much. Got the Fv going and may get the AS downstairs going after I return from the gym.

Sad day, this coldest day of the season - my dealer came and picked up the bike. Best thing for it; it will be in a nice warm storage area with other bikes and away from the cold weather riff-raff that is taking over the garage. Only consolation is that I get more room in my garage until March or so. Can now move the car over so it's not hugging the wall and mostly blocking the door (good thing I'm skinny).

Don't feel bad, I still have yet to shuffle where the bike and the snowblower goes for winter. Kinda like you do it. Until I shuffle then, u park the blower behind my Audi. So I have to move it every time I go in and out of the garage. I've got off of work for 11 solid days as of Thursday evening, so I should get that done. I've kind of been in a bike funk since my transmission/ cases took a dump on the bike. It's where I parked it when I got it home. Soon enough, I'll get a different motor on her, and have a new bike. I think I'm narrowed down to 2 bikes. Ones German, one's Italian. There's just so much new stuff on both models that there's a bit of an unknown until demo rides can be done. Euro4 emissions regs have messed with bikes, and the race/ cornering ABS, and traction/wheelie control rider modes are a game changer.

I've been used to "analog" bikes. These "digital" advances are huge, but they can't interfere or diminish the experience. 2017s have a lot more digitalization than 2016s. Decisions decisions... It's a great time to be in the market.
