This is what I took the MSF course on. They had two of these and several Suzuki 250 cruisers. Instructor seeing me all wadded up on one of the Zukis, made me and a smaller guy trade. I was not unpleased with his decision.

Oh man, the TW200 is a perfect MC license test bike!
That, and one of the other bike mechanics had a Honda CM400A (Hondamatic) that he rented out for the tests...that was pretty ideal too! Especially since the test site was literally around the corner from the shop!

Fortunately I do have a few people who'll tolerate me. ;)

If you ever want to sell that two, lmk.

Been riding the mighty TL1000S/R daily again. This thing is a beast with the original ECU and the R engine with the full yosh on it.

Sometimes I forget how fun it is. But I want a newer bike.

Ready to find it a new owner and then I'll get my new bike. PXL_20260527_005948231.jpg

My wife and I will be at Road America tomorrow and all weekend for the superbike races as we always do. This is year 22 in a row that we have gone all weekend.

It's not going anywhere...I've owned it since the mid 90s, it'll go to my son if he wants it.
I learned my lesson on selling bikes that you like...sold my 85 ATC 350x in the early 90s...didn't take long to realize that was a mistake. Bought another one from a kid that brought his roached engine into the bike shop and couldn't afford to fix it (he installed the oil filter element backwards!) I did a frame up rebuild on it then. Knowing what I know now, I should have kept it and got rid of the girlfriend/now x wife!!

I'm not much of a sport bike guy, but those things are fun...plus sound awesome with the right pipe!
I ran into an old customer the other day that still has one, said he still gets it out some. I did an engine swap on it years ago...the original engine lost a crank bearing IIRC...weird, because he takes meticulous care of his stuff, but it happened!

Since getting this low mileage cream puff, I fell for em all over again. I guess the track off made me loose my passion for old yeller. I cannot imagine a day when I don’t own one. Good luck. I believe you to be as passionate as me and seeing it drive away will be tough. Hopefully you get the right price.

Funny enough, the first response was from a guy I know and rode with that had 2 red TLS's. The first one he had was a 97 as well, was written off by progressive insurance with minor damage a couple of years after buying it. The second a 99 red S he sold about 15 yrs ago, he's interested and jonesing for another. He knows me, he knows my bike. We go way back. I've been riding it daily aside over this past weekend when we went to the superbike races fri-sunday at Road America. I have an offer from another person, some unknown guy, but I'll wait on it because I can get more. Plus he's one of those guys on marketplace that apparently repeatedly doesn't show up when he says he will. You know, that kind of guy. His ratings reviews tell the tale.

Rode a Yamaha MT 09 SP on Friday at the demos at Road America.

    PXL_20260529_191144414.MP.jpg

It was pretty nice. A little less powerful than I would want. I've ridden a few MT 10's and mt10sp to know if I wanted a Yamaha, it would be the mt10sp, but I had to give this a try.

Oh Road America 3 day race weekend was excellent. They broke the all time record for attendance this year. Superbike races started at RA in 1980, so 46 years. Friday was the busiest we've ever seen it and this is year 22 in a row that my wife and I have been to all three days. Saturday we had friends from Minnesota and Northern WI join us at our turn 5 setup. We grilled burgers and had a nice set up.
