I broke my femur July 26th 1996 at the Kenworthy's National amateur motocross. Thought that was my last ride. Borrowed a YZ 125 for the 2001 amateur day at High Point . Took 7th out of the full gate. That was my last race.
How does the owner like the TransAlp? I've eyed them from afar but never talked to anyone who owns one.
He’s an older guy, likes it but.. still not completely sold on the larger front wheel. And he’s not crazy about tubes, plus, to convert to tubeless costs too much. I don’t think he does much offroad. Bike was bought new by Tony, (bike shop owner when it was still there) to go on an adventure trip. He thought it didn’t have enough power so he sold it to Brad, our detailing guy when he got back. He then bought a Yamaha Tracer 9gt, which he loves.
Made another Tennessee trip a few weekends ago. Got in almost 100 miles. Did a good bit of night riding. 3 days of riding and 1 rain day. 2 of the days we got out there at about noon or a little later and didn't finish till 1am the first night and almost 2am the second. Check out the Milwaukee light strapped on the yz fender. Took some adjusting but it worked. He now has a better light. Panther Rock The group for 2 days. A couple videos of Phil and myself going up trail 15. Phil is up first. (Obviously he didn't go first once you see the next video but I'll show his first.) And my turn. (I was just joking about it being easy. I can remember falling down/not making it several times.)
The weather turned warm yesterday and I headed to the off-road park. Seemed that was everyone's idea cause I've yet to see it THAT busy. Got in a few miles. Found this steep little hill I couldn't make. No one was there to watch so I didn't give er a second try.
