Yeah. I don't get it. Those HD's are essentially the same as a 40 year old one. Yet they command ridiculous money. I know HD's sales are slumping, and HD ridership is really low with essentially no new riders coming in, but to raise the cost of the bikes that much is not the solution.

I plan to. If that road back to the club was better, I’d take the Ducati. Bet you’re itching to ride!

Well there's now a big chunk of foam in there called a mousse. Only probably with this setup is hopefully the beads will fully seat on each side after little ride time.

Got 2 days of riding to work in. All I can say is wow. The power compared to the old bike is night and day. And handles much better. 20250623_043457.jpg

The shop installed the new quick detach sissy bar and floor boards for Kathy's spot on the bike. Now it just needs to not rain for 10 minutes. 20250628_095603.jpg

Got my first 1,100 miles on the new bike and absolutely love it. Guess i gotta pick up oil and a filter and do the first 1000 mile service.

Got the 520 running today after I tried to start it last weekend and realized the carb wasn't getting fuel. Got the float needle unstuck and the main jet cleaned. Pulled idle mixture screw and cleaned it but didn't clean the bore inside the carb. She finally started but not without the choke on, even after warmed up. I'll have to clean the idle circuit a little better.

It's running, you just can't hear it. ;)
