Yes, Yamaha...back in the late 70's into the 80's Yamaha had that white "headlite" indicator in the center...took me a minute to recall what the white lens was...my guess is late 70's XS650
We have the grandson for three days. I caught him in the basement making vroom vroom noises. I’d keep him but our daughter would veto that.
My wife wants to keep him as well. He’s a handful for sure but it’s a lot of fun watching his vocabulary grow. Youngsters are smarter than we give ‘em credit for. And they remember EVERYTHING But alas he goes home today.
Lee figured out how to turn the key on, honk the horn, and use the blinkers. He hit the start button but that's a no go without a major grip on the brake lever. He tried though.
Took the bike out for the first ride of the season a couple days ago. Just had over two feet of snow at the higher elevations but the weather was too good to pass up.
Got this new Friday before last, 9 days ago, and have 360 miles on it now. Suzuki DR-Z400SM Had a little 125 Chinese Honda clone 10 years ago till it was stolen. It's nothing like some of yalls, but I like it and even got it to 90mph after I felt comfortable on it. It really likes cruising at 65mph and feels like it starts winding up after that.
Been commuting on the Duc a lot this spring. Slow days at the shop and I detail it. My chains are always this clean. Love this lid.
I played a video game in the early 2000s called Tourist Trophy. It was like Gran Turismo racing game but it was all motorcycles. I remember you could pick your riders suit and pick from alot of Ariat helmets. I just looked Ariat helmets after seeing yours and didn't realize what a really nice helmet costs. It looks good for sure.
I have lost touch with what things cost in the motorcycle world since being away from it on the retail side for 17 years now...I can only imagine how much they are now!
Yep. I use Maxima Clean Up chain cleaner and a Grunge Brush first, hose off and dry, then liberally spray with Chain Wax. When I first started at the bike shop, they used Maxima Chain Guard. That stuff, as does most, flings off with time. The wax dries up and never flings keeping things a bit cleaner. You know the old saying... can you put a price on your head?
