    I once hit a coyote out in the middle of the New Mexico desert while heading west on I-10 at about 5am. Just prior I had spotted 2 of them lurking on the side of the road...and then one just ran out in front of my Ranger while I was doing about 75. Can still hear/feel that thud. No real damage but did have some hair in the grill.
