campinspecter just replaced all his fluorescent lights in the workroom with porcelain bases and LED lights. What a difference. After that he went to work in my sewing room (and survived the trips in and out) and now I don't have flickering fluorescent but bright LEDs in there. The kitchen is still in progress as some drywalling and mudding was involved. It will be nice when he is finished.
Someone else here posted about these 4ft replacement LED "bulbs" I saved all my old burnt out fluorescent fixtures. Stripped out the ballasts and rewired them A hot and ground on one end of the LED bulb THEY WORK GREAT Started with a 10 pack and needed to order another 10 pack to finish up. Came home and chunked up the last of a pile of noodled silver maple quarters I had (forgot to take a picture of the vertical splitter winch in action) so went out around 745 under the lights and stacked up the chunked pile made it ready for horizontal splitting action and just came in. Two rows on the right. And from the left end to the wheelbarrow in the other shot.
Pretty cloudy tonight but the snow helps and the flood lights I like the quiet except the sound of splits knocking together:stacke::stacke:
