If it was my mini, trenches woulda been done already. I'm figuring the lumber and trusses will run about a grand for this 16'X16' space. We have the siding and most of the soffit, etc. from the house redo. We plan to have the siding guy do the roof for us (I don't like roof work).
Never ending projects, some needed, some wanted. all work and $$$. Do while you have your health. Never know when you will get shut down. Please keep the pictures coming. I would love to be able to climb into that machine and just move stuff around, if only for the heck of it. Never able to have those big boy toys. I'm envious every time I see members here using their machines. My son just bought a 21 foot boat. We are trying to figure out a way for me to get in and out of it.
I hear ya', Larry. Funny thing is, yesterday we went to an "estate" sale and there are 2 houses with outbuildings and a 4.5 acre pond on 37 acres in foreclosure. Wife immediately sent the link to our son, and we were talking about being the live in caretakers if he bought the place. He hasn't responded. We've been talking about this addition for a while now, but never had the money. Should have done it when we first moved in.
On the way to the "sale", wife asked if I thought we'd ever be done with projects. I said "sure, somewhere around 2037".
You lied to her - projects are never done, they just rotate back to the earliest that was completed - having (or wanting) to be redone again
Change of plans. Yep, what's new, right? So, just about to get outta bed and the dogs start goin' crazy like there's someone/thing outside. It was one of the concrete guys. They couldn't get the concrete truck for the job they were supposed to pour today, so he came here to pull the stump that's kinda in the way and maybe get the trenches dug. Might get to the point of forming too, but we'll see.
It's fun watching this guy finesse the machine. If the rain stays away, they might work late and get it formed.....I just have to leave him alone. Every time I go out there, we end up talking for 5 minutes.
Eric VW help me out here. Which is the proper southern grammar. Is it.. You's Youse or You is I've been gone fer a spell.
