I like to have cabinets and storage on wheels so I can move it around to clean and change the layout if I wish to. Bought a lot of Vidmar cabinets at an auction for cheap and made up a framework out of some heavy angle iron. Cleaned the cabinets and painted everything with a mini roller. These cabinets are great as they have heavy ball bearing slides and dividers that can be adjusted. I've done the same thing with file cabinets and ones I've gotten from school sales. They work great for hardware, parts and tooling storage as the are built so heavy.
Picked up a tool cart at HF yesterday for $109. My wife got me a new tool set for Christmas but I didn’t care for the plastic box it came in. The plastic trays fit perfectly into the drawer. Nice cart for $109. They’re $50 off this weekend.
Even with the exchange rate for me thats a dang good price, looks nice! Priced out a snap on, yikes think i can wait till i go stateside again Small tip, give it a coat of good quality wax, makes cleaning dust way nicer being black
This isn't the same cart I picked up but the video is pretty good. There are some things I don't mind buying from HF.
I really like those cabinets . Wished I had a bunch.I used to goto 10-15 auctions a year and anything like those would go for top dollar. Tools and everything associated around here sell for big $ used.
