The total was 44 cubic meters delivered or 57.5 cubic yards if I did my math right

How many days before you can park anything on it? Will you paint it first or leave it natural?

Hmm...they must be cautious types...I've always heard 1 week for cars and light trucks...more for heavy equipment/trucks

I think you are correct brenndatomu, we were talking about a truck delivering the plywood for the mezzanine, when they said 2 weeks.

Ah, I see...could you have a crane truck bring the plywood so it could be loaded up on the mezzanine through your outside access?

When my floor was poured, the sealer was sprayed on before they left.

I thought I better update this thread.
I decided to seal the concrete with a lithium densifier, after doing some research I decided it would give me the best results for my situation.

I also found an great manufacturer in Melbourne, I went to there factory in Melbourne and meet the chemist who developed the sealer/densifier I was interested in, he even took me in to his lab and showed me some of his samples and tests.

    This is the stuff.

The chemist Ren said the best results would be on clean 28 day old concrete so I mopped over the floor and left the shed doors closed until last Tuesday, then it was sealing time.

I am really happy with how the concrete looks. A great job by the concreter’s and the sealer is just the icing on the cake.

Today I went around to a good friend from work and we sealed some concrete in his shed with the leftover chemical.

Does the sealer prevent oil stains, etc.? Can you paint over it if you wish to do a section for an office?

It’s been a month and a half since I updated this tread so over the next couple of nights I will add some to it.

A month ago I got round to wiring up the controllers and motors for the roller shutters. (Industrial roller doors)

Set the encoders and the open and closed limits.

Now I can open and close the doors the easy way, using electricity instead of the emergency override chain.

I have to say that opening the big door that weighs more than 1000 lbs using the chain takes some time and really makes you sweat.

I wanted to fill/seal the contraction joints in the concrete slab.

I started by putting the foam packing rods in to the joints.

10 millimetre foam in a 5 millimetre slot is slow and tedious work, 66 metres/216 feet of control joints to pack took some doing.

Once in the joint I used my special home made scraper to set the packer rod to about 5 millimetres deep.

I made the scraper out of an old power hack saw blade, it’s thicker and stiffer than a paint scraper and is perfect for this job.

Next I masked both sides of the joints.

    Now for the Sikaflex pro+

I tooled the Sikaflex off with a putty knife. Then removed the masking tape.

Last I smoothed the edges with my finger that was dipped in diluted dishwashing detergent to get a nice finish.

All 216’ done, and I’m happy that it’s over.

I hope you had one of those stools with wheels for that job.

No I didn’t have a stool so I spent most of the time on my knees.
