Very impressive leoht! I especially like the pic of your little firewood village from the scissor lift. Those stacks look like a bunch of little cottages  :thumbs:

Never saw a roof raised up like that one was done. That is heck of a huge building. Wonder how long it will take you to fill it up. never seen a shed yet that wasn't filled from floor to ceiling. wonderful structure. Thank you for sharing your build with us.

Canadian border VT. I did give serious thought to having a door in the back wall so I could drive right through, but I want to have my car/truck hoist in-line with the door and work benches and storage across the back wall. There will be a door in the side wall so one could drive in the front and out the side.

savemoney, It’s becoming quite common to raise large buildings using that technique down here, it’s so much quicker, easier and most importantly safer to build the roof on the ground. On bigger jobs it actually save’s money.

Check out Action steel industries amazing video.

While Jake and Russell were doing that I cooked some BBQ for lunch.

The boys found the smell of hickory, sausages & burgers quite distracting.

    After lunch this happened.

leoht Will you insulate it? What are you doing for heat dissipation?

Canadian border VT I would like to fully insulate it eventually but as you know it’s not as necessary down here as it is in North America. The roof does have minor insulation. As for heat dissipation I have a skydore that will be installed above the mezzanine, when opened it will let all the hot air out
