Did not see hook ups for water and Power.. Here sheds are general storage, whereas barns, shops other outbuildings will have utilities. Anyway great shed:yes:

5.6 cubic meters of concrete. (198 cubic feet.)

Dad snagged the leftover concrete for a job around his shed. (pole barn)

Shed = unconditioned (not heated or cooled) space, usually storage for equipment or whatever
Shop = (sometimes conditioned) space, usually for fixing or building things
Barn = unconditioned space, usually for animals

Russell and Jake were here at 8:30 this morning. They started laying and screwing down the roof sheets.

I got up there and helped with my new impact driver.

There are a lot of screws in this roof.

We had the roof screwed down by lunchtime.

Russell is screwing the brackets that hold the gutters on. It’s a lot easier to do this work at ground level!

At 3 pm the Cranes arrived to lift the shed. The 55 t and 40 t were booked out for days so we had to use 2 smaller cranes.

I can't even imagine what that would cost around here. Cranes and the union operators to run them.:bug: That is going to be an awesome shed!!

Yes cranes are expensive here too, that’s why Russell and Jake were running the whole time they were here!

I felt guilty wandering around taking pictures, but it was better I stayed out of the way. Besides I had to document the lift for my FHC family!

While the cranes were here Russell and Jake put single fly bracing cables in each bay. In the morning the first job was to double them up.

Next the wall and door mullion’s were installed in one of the end wall’s.

Then the top purlins and mezzanine support beams were bolted in to place.

    Lower purlins were added next.

Purlins going on the back wall.
