Yes and if he was hurt or killed it would have been the chainsaws fault. You can't make this stuff up and you can't fix stupid!

The trees I cut were much larger, but I hinged and used much better common sense. Similar hang up pattern though.

Second largest log from the leaner hickory down to the house. Forgot how fun skidding down steep hills is . Gave up on my and built a whole new road. Forgot pictures of the road, but got the important things! IMG_4749.JPG IMG_4752.JPG

Do you have the ability to drop the log(s) if they start to push you down the hill too fast? Heard it's a good method of braking and could prevent the hitch from pushing the back end of the tractor around.

I can drop the bucket on the front or the skidding winch. It is very steep, but dry so I did not slip. Tipping sideways if the log rolls is the major concern.

A few in action pics. A few logs near the house for the weekend, most in the 14-20 inch range. . Not excited about the mud. Two pics of the little tractor loaded front and back. Ratchet rake on the bucket is what I use for road grading. Works great IMG_4769.JPG IMG_4774.JPG IMG_4777.JPG IMG_4779.JPG IMG_4780.JPG IMG_4781.JPG IMG_4782.JPG

Your tractor seems to have some pretty good hydraulics for it's size. Definitely gets the job done.
