If you can swing it a br450 is a great blower.

Id take it over a br600 no questions.

This is what I do, within 2 years of staring that my yard's gone from brownish to so green and healthy I often have to go over it twice with the mower in the summer months because it grows so fast! I put a block-off plate on my mower chute, about 4 passes turns the leaves into a very fine almost powder-like consistency. But even 1-2 passes is good enough to turn it back into mulch.

That being said, for one year I did leaf removal "professionally". For normal yards we used BR600 backpack blowers, for larger yards we used those in tandem with a Billy Goat blower. Surprisingly, my little handheld BG55 moves leaves just about as well as the backpack blower, the difference is I could use the backpack blower for 8-10 hours while I'm only good for about an hour with the handheld blower. But for fast leaf removal, I still think a big rake is the best. It's more work for the user, but if you can move quickly it'll clear a yard faster than a blower will.

I recently bought an Echo PB-580H.. I do have an advantage of blowing leaves into the woods and it sounds like you have to bag them.. I went with the backpack because I have a large area and it made sense.. Echo gives you a 5 year consumer warranty and I paid $299.99 and they threw in a 6 pack or Stihl full synthetic 2 cycle oil.. This was bought local dealer and same price as HD and they won't give you oil.. This was fully assembled and tested before I left.. This blower produces 510CFM @ 215MPH.. Might be too much for your yard.. I still use my rider mower with bagger and dump in woods for most of the property.. Bagger mowers are better and may be best for you and much easier and quieter to use.. BTW this blower is rated 70db which isn't terrible as blowers go..
