Went to my daughters today to pickup some of last summers oak, i had picked up and put under some shrubs. It was soaking wet, but, when i took the X27 to it, it split like butter!! Plus, it was fairly dry considering how big the chunks were. So i threw some of it in the back of the pickup, brought it home, stacked it, and put a tarp over it just before it started raining this evening. I put a couple of good sized chunks on each side of the stove, and apparently its a lot more dry than i thought it would be. I put a chunk in a while ago, and its burning and putting out a good amount of heat. Haven't checked it with the moisture meter yet, but, obviously its a lot more dry than i thought .
