I just found this, I would say we received over 12 inches of snow, I'm judging from what Parishville received. http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=BTV&product=PNS&issuedby=BTV
No, sorry. What I meant is that it rains here in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. It is very wet here. Similar to the PNW. I never have to worry about a drought or forest fires. And burn bans...never heard of them until I hit the internet. Lake Erie will create huge snowfalls until it freezes over. If it does freeze, then it doesn't happen until late winter. There are ski resorts here too. Smaller but the do the trick. The main ones are in WNY. There is a tiny one in Edinboro.
Just another winter's day in WNY! This is a pic of the NYS Thruway just outside Buffalo yesterday. Err... Waitaminute.... It's not even winter yet!!!
Agreed. These happen often here. TWC is just chitin their pants over this, blah ,blah, blah. See this once a year at least. I see those steaming snow bands come off the lake all the time in the fall/early winter and water spouts all the time in summer. Sometimes multiple spouts at the same time. This isn't the phenomenon that its being drummed up to be. I-90 between the OH line and Buffalo gets shut down half a dozen times or more a winter.
Good picture , that shows it well. WOW Dry snow, deep snow, big truck gear box marks in the track "This isn't the phenomenon that its being drummed up to be. Meaning this is normal, just a little early ? Still impressive 37° here, dry, actually fire danger warnings with the wind & dead, dry grass/weeds.
thewoodlands. How you doing there woodlands? Did you get more snow Thursday and into today? Hope you were able to keep up with the snow without too much trouble man.
Early yesterday around 9 or so, it was snowing pretty good but stopped around 10:30, the roads were terrible. Nothing for snow today.

We did more sledding today, down in the Ravine I measured 17 inches, I'm not sure on the official totals for our area.
That no doubt is not the total as snow can pack quite fast. You you very well may have received 20+".
