Got a nice trailer load of maple, it was half down, from wind damage.
Then two trailer loads of shoulder wood, already seasoned, it was cut for a fire pit, but not used, I only took the ok and good stuff

We had a busy weekend! I took off Thursday and Friday to hunt, and while the hunting was very slow I still had some quality time alone (with my dog of course, I threw corn cobs for him to retrieve when we got REALLY bored).

Then Saturday we all went on a 16 mile bike trip, stopping for lunch in the middle. My wife and I have done the trip a couple times with the baby in tow in her trailer, but this was the first time the 8 year old did that trip. She made it fine with just a little whining!

Sunday morning we all (including the dog) went for a hike and then headed to my SIL's for a grill-out/pool party, our daughter and the dog spent most of the time swimming in the pool.

Monday the family and I loaded up the truck and headed to a local lake to hang out on the beach. The oldest girl immediately made friends with a few other girls her age and we barely saw her for the next several hours. The wife and I took turns going out on our stand up paddleboard while the other one stayed back and splashed in the water with the 9 month old while repeatedly throwing the frisbee out in the water for our golden retriever. That dog did things with me non-stop since Thursday, and even when I fired up the grill Monday evening he was dropping his frisbee at my feet begging for me to throw it. My body was pretty tired at that point, I don't know how he has so much darned energy!

If I'm splitting wood with him around he does often bring me sticks and splits. Of course just as often he carries them away from me and I find them when I'm mowing!

My dog has an aversion to anything that looks like work. Get the tools out, he is gone!

wouldlove to see some pics! we have lots of "unusable ground" and I'd like to see what others transform theirs into. We had a muddy, chunky, unholy path out to the pasture and just recently had a guy with a mini-excavator come in and turned it into an actual walkable path. Will post some pics of my own once I figure out how to... thanks
