Brought home a lift and need to store it until I prepare it's pad out in the leanto shed. Storing them vertically saved me from outside storage and the hassle of weather proofing them. 13'4" tall.
Saw, I don't need no stinkin saw It'll make a good campfire I'll probably wait until next years first snow, it's hard enough to get it to burn then. This pile was all standing 3-4 days ago and is mostly small stuff under 5-6". That Beach root ball above is the biggest, the wind snapped the top off a month ago. I did add a 4-5 logs to the log pile, but most of it is in this burn pile.
That’s gonna be a nice bonefire! I have grapple envy also but that no saw stuff, well that’s just cheating!
Heres a picture that give a better idea of the grade of the hill im heading down in the previous post
My Kubota failed me yesterday I was coming out with a bucket full of limb wood, stopped to check a small ash tree shut off the Tractor when I went to start it nothing happened after checking all the safety switches I determined it was the PTO switch finally got it started and drove home. Today I lubed the cable and lever on the side of the tranny worked the PTO lever back and fort checked the switch and found that one of the contact switches was bent up and not making good contact straightened it out a the tractor is starting as it should again.
Nice job! This happens quite a bit, at least on mine. A pair of carharts, that loop on the left pant leg can sometimes hook around the PTO lever when exiting the bota. Also, the treadle pedal can get sticky- so it'll want to crawl once your off the pedal and stand up, triggering the safety shutoff. PITA, but a good safety feature!
I remembered that Well Seasoned said the treadle pedal got sticky on his "bota" I checked that first then started to further investigate that is when I noticed that the little metal tabs that push against the micro switch were bent I straightened them out and all is well now. I don't know if a stick got up in there or what happened there was a little of this at least it was an easy fix once I found the problem.
They (tractor mfg's) would do well to offer at least some minor guarding for the belly. How many little tractors are really doing field work. Heck from what I read some of these kubota insurance payouts..... I'd think that just from a sales standpoint it would be a winner for them.
Spent today getting ready for winter Glad I only have to do this once a year. "Bota" ready for tonight's snow storm. Forecast calling for 12" - 18". I am ready
Checking in here, JCMC glad you got that switch fixed. Havnt had the tractor out much recently. Mud season is here in Indiana
