This one is the gas model.

We shopped for most of the last year, and shopped 3 other brands with similar models. I think we drove 12 other units of various brands and configurations. We were not looking for a sport model (like a RZR or TRex). Nor, were we looking for a straight utility either (Like a Diesel Kubota RTV). So, this fit the bill of work and play pretty well, i.e. "cross-over".

    Very happy so far.

Maybe you need the landscape bucket like the tree service uses, solid bottom, with grapple arms on top

I'm figuring most of you tractor owners keep your tractors in a barn or some type of building. How do you keep mice from building nests or other little pests like chipmunks or squirrels? I'm looking at possibly getting a compact tractor and have a small pole barn to keep it in but currently have a issue with the previous mentioned rodents getting into my zero turn and garden tractor. I had the padding on my zero turn chewed up last winter. I'd like to keep this from happening if I was to get a tractor. I've got farmland on two sides of my property and crops are coming off which means some rodents are looking to take up residence I'm sure.

I put dryer sheets all over the machines and leave hoods open and seats tipped up where possible since mice built a nest under the flywheel shroud on my JD X530 a couple years ago and no trouble since. I do it year round now actually. So far so good.

Maina , Kubota purchased the 851cc 48Hp efi liquid cooled platform from Subaru. They bought the tooling, rights, and everything to bring it in-house to Kubota.

    Hey Mike,

Its a Everything Attachments grapple. It was light and not too spendy. I have bent it up alittle in the 3 years i have had it, but i would chalk that up mostly to me being to rough on it. Its a good root rake too if you want to dig up some small trees. I think it opens to over 30"+ and has plenty of "grip". Let me know if you have any other questions Mike.

Thanks for the info. I need one of those for my tractor which is essentially the Kubota equivalent of yours. However, I would need to add a 3rd function hydraulic for the FEL before I can use a grapple, so that adds another ~$900 and my labor time. So, will have to wait a while.

Its money well spent. I use it as much as the bucket now. As you get closer, if you need any more info or want to see a different type of action video, let me know.

Skidded a couple chestnut oak logs today and got them stacked up off the ground. Nothing special, but since he portable saw miller is coming next month, it makes sense to get as much done as possible. L3710 works great for this. Forks work fine, but a grapple would be better. 20201101_151937.jpg

Yeah, the sun sets behind the mountain at 4:45.
Not totally dark, but not far off.
Don't expect any pitty from me about (tractor) chores after dark. I know you're having just as much fun on your new machine with the lights on! :D

Yes, it is awful nice. The other tractor had just the grill lights and one I added to the fender. The hay bale perfectly blocks the grill lights, so we sometimes carried a big flashlight to see around the bale as we drove. The lights on the cab are wonderful. There are still dark areas to the left and right of the center of the tractor, so I have to be pretty careful backing up while turning in among the cattle.
