Thanks. Me too. Lambs are due to start dropping on April Fools' Day (irony duly noted), so we are going to have to keep after it. We have some temporary, plan B's in line if lambs start showing up before we are finished.

Mike looking at all of the "stuff" you do with your tractor...... I'm pretty sure I remember when you were shopping and eventually first got it. Ever wonder how you ever got by without it?

Rut roh Scooby! Leaky FEL bucket cylinder. That's liquid gold dripping out out of there at $20/gal. No surprise considering I've moved 4 full triaxle loads of stone (~22 ton each) recently. Thankfully, it should be inexpensive and quick to repair. I took off the cylinder and brought it to Messick's this afternoon. They quoted me $42 in parts and one hour of less of labor, assuming it just needs new seals. They would have done it on the spot if I would have gotten there earlier in the day. It will be ready tomorrow am.

Got a call from the dealership at 0900 this morning. $125. Even 'being the independent and frugal guy I am, I'm super happy to with that price and turn around time.

What to do. Take blower of and box blade driveway from 3” of slop?? :sherlock:

If I do I guarantee you we will get hit with a 2 foot blizzard and then I’m in deep trouble.

Or do I say me and the wife can get out to heck with the visitors??:p

Push into piles with bucket, move with blower? That’s what I do with a small amount, wet or dry

What will you do with the chips? Mulch or low spots on trails?

(I'd love to have one of those! )

Mulch and ground cover for that elevated back portion of yard in pic. See my other thread in DIY section for some fresh bed pics.

It's a no name Chinese knock off of Wallenstein. It had a "scratch" so I got it to my door for $900 so it's likely paid for itself. I have no doubt the real deal is much better but I rarely use it and had intended on selling it after the first few trees I specifically bought it for. Of course, I said that about the tractor too.

Gravity feed, 4" max. Anything twiggy and it clogs very easily so under 1" is burn and 4"+ is firewood. It does make some very nice chips.

I have maybe 16hp at PTO, so pretty wimpy but baby bota has no problem, especially when the wood is green.

Chipping is relaxing so long as it's not clogging.
